I was born in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. I studied Industrial Engineering and obtained a Master's in Computer Science from the National Technological Institute of Mexico. Later, I completed my Ph.D. at the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California in Mexico.
I work as a Full Professor at the Chemistry and Engineering School at the Universidad Autonóma de Baja California in Mexico. My primary areas of expertise include computer science, software engineering, and engineering management, and I teach these subjects to undergraduate and graduate students.
I am also a member of the National System of Researchers (SNII) of the Department of Science, Humanities, Technology, and Innovation (SECIHTI) in Mexico.
As the leader of the "Complexity and Computation" academic group, I coordinate the "Computational Modeling and Complex Systems" academic collaboration network.
